My Life: I have never imagined that I will be able to step foot on Africa. It was such an amazing place, Nature at its best. From the Philippines its actually a 13-16 hrs flight. I always wanted to travel maybe around Europe and America, but Africa was never one of the top destinations I thought of going to. To make the long story short, my South African Journey was sponsored, a business trip, all expense paid with matching allowance which was for me such a great blessing that I will never forget.
I flew through Emirates Airlines (considered by many as luxury airline), it was a connecting flight: Manila-Dubai-Johannesburg. Total of 16 hrs before I arrived in OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg (one of the Capitals of South Africa).
The original plan of our stay in South Africa was only 6 weeks, but it was extended for more than 3 months, luckily we all have a 1 yr Intra Company Visa.
The whole experience was a mix of Work, tour, shopping, fun, more fun and more work. All I can share are the activities we did during the entire stay, since the accommodation, transportation and all other stuff were provided by our company.
All the places we went to, we travelled on our own by just using our handy GPS.
Things to do in South Africa:
1. FNB Stadium - house of 2010 FIFA World Cup, Located at Nasrec Johannesburg
3. Hartebeesport, located at Magaliesberg Mountains, this was a very beautiful and relaxing place.
5. Drive a BMW (haha), the roads and cars here were amazing!
6. Play football! I mean pretend to play.
7. Celebrate Spring Day, South Africa has a good climate, I love that it's always cold!
8. Safari! We didnt got the chance to visit Kruger, but Pillanesberg was amazing(Game!).
9. Experience the Snow in Africa! Can you believe it, my first snow experience was in South Africa, unbelievable is it?!
